When we summitted our first peak, something changed in us. Standing there, taking in the views, we realized that exploration isn't just about reaching the top – it's about discovery. Discovery - of ourselves, of the magic of the outdoors, of our world, of possibility. Exploration allows us to see the world beyond and reimagine what we can accomplish.
And this is why Batian Peak exists.
We aim to inspire and equip you to explore, and discover the magic of the outdoors. Because the path of discovery is also the path of progression.
To some of you, you’re just beginning your enjoyment of the outdoors. To others, the outdoors are your weekend home. And for our experienced enthusiasts a.k.a alpinists, you're probably preparing for your next technical climb. Wherever you are, we have designed Batian Peak with both the beginners and veterans in mind to fit your varied needs at every stage.
The world of outdoor adventure has evolved dramatically. Today's climbers are pushing boundaries that seemed impossible 10 years ago. The same can be said of hikers and backpackers whose ambitions have increased as much as their load has decreased and thus able to cover more ground. Better gear and equipment has played a part in this progression. And we know that as a gear brand, we are among those responsible for the items put forth in the market. We will always aim to create and test thoughtful and practical items to those interested in exploring the outdoors and taking the paths less travelled.
To celebrate our launch, we've curated a special playlist that features some of our favorite songs that we listened to a lot when coming up with the Waterbuck collection. It mixes high energy, calm beats with mellow sounds. You can move to it if you want, but you can also just drift away. If you like a track, add it to your library.

In the coming days, we’ll share the story behind the Waterbuck Collection - from our first designs to production challenges, to unexpected first samples, pushing launch day, to where we are today. And yes, we'll reveal why we chose the beautiful Waterbuck as our spirit animal. We will also share how we have been building the Batian Peak brand. Exciting days ahead!
